There are some really good school supplies deals on Amazon right now. As a former second grade teacher and coupon blog contributor, I know school supplies. And I know the best price points.
So I’ve rounded up several typical school supply items that are comparable to what I’ve seen at Target and Fred Meyer. I don’t shop at Walmart, but I’ve looked at their prices and they’re about the same.
You’ll probably still have to head into the store for a few things like $0.50 Crayola crayons, but save yourself the headache of having to track down the WHOLE SUPPLIES LIST in a madhouse store on August 29.

Fiskars Kids Classic Pointed Tip Scissors, 5-Inch, Assorted Colors- $1.49
This is the same price as Target in store. Only drawback is you can’t choose the color.

This is a solid price for washable Crayola. I paid $2.49 at Fred Meyer (reg. $3.99).

Same price as Target!
Crayola Twistables Colored Pencils, No Sharpening Required, 12 Count – $3.99
These can be hard to find – last year was the first time this former teacher had to find and purchase them!

These are $3.79 at Fred Meyer and $4.49 at Target.

This works out to $0.50 each. This quantity is only a good deal if you have multiple kids, make slime, or want to donate to your teacher. I paid $0.50 at Target and Fred Meyer.
TICONDEROGA Pencils, #2, Pre-Sharpened with Eraser, 72-Pack – $9.99
I paid $3.49 for 18 pencils at Fred Meyer and wish I had bought these to donate to the teacher. The lead breaks so easily in the cheaper pencils.

Look for a coupon to clip or opt for subscribe and save to pay even less.
